A new website, same commitment to clients
It has been a really busy summer at Active Listening Therapies. We have a shiny new website thanks to the great team at www.thewebguys.co.uk – we didn’t want to change the feel of the site too much – we hope you’ll notice a slicker presence.
In July, Duncan joined the practice full-time which means we can offer more available slots for counselling and well-being therapies. Louise is available for clinical hypnotherapy and Duncan is available for reiki… More on that next week!
It feels like there is a real openness at the moment. Mental health and positive emotional well-being is having a lot of media attention – and rightly so too. One area that is really emerging is the focus on children and young-people. One in ten children are identified as suffering emotionally. Social media, exam worries, body image and online bullying are just some of the triggers. Sadly, self harm and PTSD are increasingly common in young people too.
As well as working with adult clients, we have increased our offer to younger people. Louise is working with a local academy school providing emotional support in house for both young people and teaching staff, she is also working with parents off site. Duncan continues to offer counselling to young people at the Children’s Bereavement Centre in Newark. If you do believe your child is showing signs of emotional fragility, a consultation with Louise or Duncan is the first step to managing your child’s concerns.
There are lots of exciting things happening at Active Listening Therapies this autumn, so do keep an eye out for the updates. Prices will not be increasing in the foreseeable future so you can still take advantage of three sessions for £100 or a single session for £40.
